DUTCH BOOK READING CLUB


Dutch book reading on intermediate / advanced level (A2 and up).

The DUTCH FOR EXPATS® Dutch Book Reading Club meets every month at our teaching location
Sweelinckplein 9/11, 1st floor, unit 18, The Hague "Duinoord" or at one of the students' homes in The Hague or Wassenaar.
We discuss Dutch novels, short stories, poetry and childrens' books.

This Book Reading Club is also open for Dutch native speakers and book lovers.
Joining this club is the perfect way to make new internationals friends!


What to expect?

•    You read a book of your choice in Dutch (title advised by your teacher)
•    The teacher provides a list with questions to answer to prepare for the Book Club session
•    Discussion in Dutch about the book

Next sessions on:

* Thursday 28 September 2017, 19.30 - 21.00 h.
we will read the Dutch novel
  “Erik, of het klein insectenboek" by Godfried Bomans (129 pages)  

 

* Thursday 26 October 2017, 19.30 - 21.00 h.
we will read the Dutch novel
 "De spion" by "Paulo Coelho (161 pages) 

this novel describes the life of Mata Hari

 

* Thursday 30 November 2017, 19.30 - 21.00 h.
we will read a number of short Dutch stories

The teacher will provide questions about the books which you receive before reading.
One session every month.
Sign up per separate session is possible.

Fee € 40,- per person, per session
Exact dates to be discussed with the students.
Minimum 3, maximum 8 students per session.
