2 Workshops “Learn how to read Dutch Books to your young children”

We start with a short introduction on Dutch children’s literature. We will practice reading 2 stories of the famous Dutch “Nijntje” (for children age 2-4) and “Jip en Janneke” (for children age 4-6), stories Dutch children grew and still grow up with. We will discuss the meaning of the stories, practice on pronunciation, phrase melody and intonation. In the first workshop (mid November) we practice reading a Sinterklaas story. In the second workshop (mid December) we practice reading a Christmas story (both Jip en Janneke).
The 2 Nijntje stories are about “fietsen” and “naar bed”.
Course materials are included in the course fee but you are welcome to bring your own copy of the books.
The 2 workshops are suitable for students with basic knowledge of Dutch (level A1 and up).
First workshop 12 December.
Second workshop 13 December.
